Kim M. Smith

Kim M. Smith began the practice of law in 2003 after leaving a career in the healthcare industry. From inception Kim has practiced in the areas of elder law, estate planning, estate & trust administration, special needs planning and guardianships. The combination of her years of practicing in these areas along with her unique background in the healthcare profession proves to be a great advantage when it comes to creating plans to help her clients.

Nicole M. Smith

Nicole M. Smith began her career as a paralegal in 2015, working with Kim in the areas of elder law, estate planning, and estate administration. She went to law school at night while working full-time at the law firm. Nicole was admitted to the bar in May of 2022 and is now an associate attorney at the firm. She brings many years of experience, having worked in this practice area for almost ten (10) years.

Alissa Brigandi

Alissa Brigandi began her career as a part-time paralegal with Kim Smith Law Group, PLLC, while attending law school. She worked with Kim and Nicole in the areas of elder law, estate planning, probate, and guardianships. Alissa graduated from Touro Law School in December of 2024 where she received the prestigious CALI award for the Senior Citizens clinic. Alissa was admitted to the bar in June of 2025 and is now an associate attorney at the firm. 

Outside of work, Alissa enjoys spending time with her dogs, family and friends, reading, traveling, and watching movies.

                    Christine L. Smith

                    Paralegal
                    After attending Nassau Community College, SUNY Stony Brook and SUNY Old Westbury, Christine started working in the Elder Law field in 2007. Christine has brought her experience from two prior law firms in this field to Kim Smith Law Group, PLLC as a senior paralegal. She oversees the operation of the office and focuses on Estate Planning and Elder law aspects of the practice.

                    Outside of the office, Christine enjoys hiking, photography, traveling, gardening, knitting, and spending time with her family.
                    Katherine Torregrosa

                    Katherine Torregrosa

                    Paralegal
                    Katherine is a full-time Paralegal with Kim Smith Law Group, PLLC newly into her career. She completed her Paralegal Certification Course with CLS BARBRI through SUNY Stony Brook and is currently pursuing her college degree. Her focus at the firm is in Medicaid and Guardianships.

                    Outside of work, Katherine enjoys baking for events in her inner circle, cooking, reading, and spending time with her church family.
                    Hinda Wolfenson

                    Hinda Wolfenson

                    Paralegal
                    Hinda has been a paralegal in the fields of Estate Planning, Estate and Trust Administration and Guardianship for over 20 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Kim Smith Law Group focusing primarily on Probate, Administration, Trust Administration and Guardianships.

                    Outside of work, Hinda enjoys spending time with friends and family, reading, and practicing yoga.
                    Kelly Berdini

                    Kelly Berdini

                    Paralegal
                    Kelly obtained her Paralegal Studies Degree at Nassau Community College in 2019. During her time at Nassau Community College, she worked at various law firms gaining experience to further her career. She is currently a Paralegal with Kim Smith Law Group, PLLC, assisting with real estate transactions, estate planning, and guardianships.

                    Outside of the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her daughter and her husband. She also enjoys hosting get-togethers with friends and family and has a passion for party planning.
